Superman Actor Henry Cavill parts ways with Warner Brothers.  Actor Henry Cavill was set to play Superman in DC’s movie Shazam. Talks broke down and he will no longer play the part. It was reported that talks completely fell apart.

Reasons for Superman Actor Henry Cavill’s Decision to Quit

Henry Cavill will no longer play the role of Superman. This is a strong move for Superman actor Henry Cavill. After the first movie “Man of Steel”, the Superman franchise seemed to fall apart.

Warner Brothers is looking to go in a different direction will do it with the Supergirl movie.  Warner brothers is bringing Supergirl to the forefront.  Also, Warner Brothers is not planning on making a Superman movie in the near future. It is mention that Warner Brothers will not cast Superman actor Henry Cavill in his own Superman movie for the next 7 years.

Ben Affleck announced that he is no longer playing the role of Batman.  This was announced after Henry Cavill’s statement.  We do not have all the facts and Warner Brothers will release a statement on this issue.

Superman Actor Henry Cavill’s Other Roles

He not just Superman, actor Henry Cavill performed in other films.  He played a role in the big screen adaptation of “The Man From U.N.C.L.E, playing an American spy in Guy Ritchie’s Cold War action thriller in 2015.

He’s played the role of Charles Brandon, first Duke of Suffolk, in Showtime’s “The Tudors”. This role is credited with introducing Henry Cavill to American audiences.  Henry Cavill played the brave son of Count Mondego in “The Count of Monte Cristo” in 2002.  Leaving the DC universe may not have an adverse effect on Henry Cavill’s acting career. Like other movies and television series it’s possible he may return to the big screen as Superman at a later date.
